CAWG believes in creating a world in which animals and the environment are respected and protected. It aims to do this through advocacy in order to inspire social change, education in order to create a greater awareness of animal welfare and through projects and campaigns that contribute to sustainable change that will benefit animal welfare.
We are looking for a President to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of CAWG so as to support the organisation’s mission and needs.
As the Chief Volunteer of the organisation, your main responsibilities include:
· Organisational leadership and management
· Ensuring that the organisation fulfils its legal responsibilities
· Organisational strategy review and development
· Formulation of policies and procedures
· Financial management, including adoption and oversight of the annual budget
· Oversight of program planning and evaluation
· Review of organisational and project reports
· Promotion of the organisation and its activities
· Fundraising
In order to be considered for this position you will need to have some or all of the following requirements:
· Leadership and management experience
· Excellent communication skills
· Media experience
· An affinity with animal welfare
· Some knowledge of Legal (charity law, company/employment law, AW law/enforcement) issues
· Campaigning and/or lobbying experience
· Languages: Mother tongue Greek and conversational English
