Recently in the Lassithi plateau town of Tzermiadon we had an excellent mezes ‘meal’ at the small bar on the opposite side from the main supermarket and almost opposite the smaller petrol station (cant remember the name – sorry). Beer, ouzo and a soft drink, plus copious plateloads of dakos, fava, mythizra cheese, feta, cabbage salad , snails in tomato sauce and a few others bits and pieces came to 10euros for two..
